A moving success story.

Anton Griesser laid the foundations of what is today one of Europe’s leading solar shading companies 142 years ago. With his uncle having successfully established the Griesser firm in Switzerland and having also embarked on its first international projects, Fritz Griesser – the pioneer among the next Griesser generation – boldly expanded operations southwards to set up Griesser Italy in 1924. So Griesser’s Italian business celebrates its centenary this year.

The establishment of the new subsidiary in Como in Northern Italy marked the beginning of a new Griesser era. The venture would see both highs and lows over the subsequent decades; but with great energy and innovative drive, the Italian market was steadily tapped and cultivated by the Griesser Group.

Griesser Italy today is headquartered in Verona, but still maintains a branch office and showroom in its Como birthplace. At the helm is Italian national Davide Roveda, who has led the company since 2022 with sizeable success.
