Light in the heart of the agglomeration, Cité de la Lumière / "Hub Lumen"
Solomatic in the sun of Lyon
Located in the Confluence district of Lyon, the agglomeration of the light (la Cité de la Lumière), also known as the "Hub Lumen", is a 9-storey building inaugurated on International Light Day.
This project, unique in Europe, was born of the ambition to become the emblematic place of the lighting industry, by offering office space, meeting rooms, showrooms and technological experimentation areas for professionals in the sector.
The complex was also created with the aim of attracting a thousand visitors a year by organising permanent events such as conferences, workshops and seminars.
The 6500m² building is equipped with a glass curtain wall solution, sliding doors, and dark grey lacquered strips for the upper floors. The windows were chosen to meet the requirements of thermal insulation and light transmission.
Griesser's Solomatic external venetian blinds were chosen for the project to provide effective thermal and visual protection in the interior. This product, which is in perfect harmony with the modern design of the building, adds to the overall balance of the façade. It gives users complete control over natural light and protects them from the heat in summer.
